The red head was laying in the grass at his feet. She reached over and poked his shoe. “Okay good. You are actually there.” She said softly not wanting to move. Almost seemed painful for her.
Louis bent down, eyes wide, and observed her closely. “Ah— Girl, are you alright?” He reached a tentative hand out and tried to help her up, not wanting to harm her.
“Kate, not girl.” She said pointedly. “Yeah just give me a second.” She closed her eyes and took several deep breaths. “Where am I?”

Tony laughed softly and shook his head again, as though to clear it. “I’m fine, I promise - just surprised,” he whispered. Leaning in to kiss her lips tenderly. “We already knew it was a possibility. Now lay down on the couch and I’ll go get some blankets, we can have a movie marathon while drinking lots of water.” He smiled brightly at her before moving to kiss her forehead and standing up to retrieve some blankets.
“Alright.” Kate nods as she watches him walk away. Her hand glowed as she placed it on her belly. She closed her eyes as it seemed to help with the nausea that started to twist back up. “Daddy says he’ll take care of us.” She said quietly to herself. She figured it was easier to accept now and just be disappointed a little when it doesn’t come true.

Tony turned around quickly at her words and rushed to kneel in front of her, wanting to reassure her that it wasn’t even a possibility. Reaching out he tilted her head with two fingers beneath her chin. “Hey, I never want you to leave,” he whispered. “I’m just - I guess ‘surprised’ is the only word I can use to describe it. But you don’t have to be sorry; I’m as much responsible as you are.”
“Are you sure? I mean you are never speechless.” She leaned into his fingers. Her eyes closed as she tried to keep herself calm. “I just didn’t know what to think. I thought you were upset now that the actual idea of me being pregnant was out there.” Her eyes still closed as she tried not to shake.

The doctor shook his head slowly. “If you aren’t pregnant then it could be a stomach bug, but I’m not comfortable giving you any medication just in case,” he said with a frown. “My only prescription is bed rest and a pregnancy test.” Tony stood up to escort the man back to the elevator, too shocked for words.
Kate watched the doctor leave and then looked at her lap. “I’m sorry Tony.” She sighed heavily and took a deep breath. “You can tell me to leave if you want.” She bit her lip as she tried not to cry.

Tony reached out to press his hand against her’s, effectively halting the nervous rubbing of her legs. “There are several things that could cause these symptoms,” the doctor said quietly, looking deeply into Kate’s eyes. “Is there any chance that you could be pregnant?” Well, that all about floored the engineer, his eyes bulging out and hand tensing around hers.
Kate’s breath caught at the suggestion. “I suppose that’s possible. What else could it be?” She gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. She looked at him. “It’s okay Tony.”
